IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT REQUESTS FOR THE CANCELLATION OF SERVICES

We're ready to assist you with your service cancellation request. Please note that this is just the beginning of the process. Due to the detailed nature of some agreements and the interdependence of services, sending this request does not immediately confirm cancellation. Instead, it kicks off our review of your services and agreement dates. After we review your request, someone from our team will communicate the next steps with you. 

If you're the primary contact on your Makios account, you can quickly start the process by filling out this form. Just a heads up, if you're not the primary legal contact, we won't be able to accept your request. Also, it's important that you fill out the form yourself since it's a legal document. Please be aware that all services are tied to billing cycles, so depending on the date of cancellation, your next bill might still include the service for an additional cycle.

If you're unsure about something on the form or the cancellation process, don't hesitate to contact your Client Services Team. We are here to help and make sure everything goes smoothly and quickly. Remember, having the correct info helps avoid any delays or issues. You must complete a separate form for each service. There's an "all services" option if you want to cancel everything.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR SERVICES BEING CANCELLED OR TRANSFERRED

Canceling services can have irreversible consequences that we cannot control. Particularly in the event that phone numbers and domain names are affected. When not planned correctly you can experience preventable system outages by planning ahead with your new vendor. If not done correctly it can result in the loss of a phone number or the loss of a domain name. Due to FCC rules & regulations, under certain circumstances, we do not automatically get notified if services are moved. It is ultimately the client's responsibility to formally file a cancellation of services using this form, or service charges may continue to be incurred. Unless Professional Services are purchased for the offboarding of services, Makios will not be liable for what happens after the cancellation takes place. Once we process your cancellation the services will be removed from our systems and these cancellations cannot be reversed. If you are unsure about the potential effect cancellation may have please get in touch with a Makios representative before making changes to services to prevent outages.

Please be aware that upon cancellation of your Makios Cloud Phones services:

  • Access to your subaccount will be terminated immediately, and API requests will cease to function.
  • Recurring charges may not cease immediately, depending on your billing cycle, and account closure changes may result in additional charges.
  • Any phone numbers, hosted numbers, short codes, SIM cards, or other associated resources that have not been ported out will be released.
  • Your account and all associated data will be scheduled for permanent deletion immediately after processing. Historical information will no longer be accessible.
If applicable please provide detailed description of the accounts, user names, and other relevant information for each account related to this service you request to cancel.

Data Retention / Service Transfer

Please note that when canceling services, it is your responsibility to backup, store, retain, or otherwise hold data on behalf of your organization before you process your cancellation request. If you need to retain data for compliance purposes or simply wish to keep an archive, you will be required to take appropriate action to store the information related to the account. Or you may request Makios to make your data available for you which may incur a charge depending on the complexity of such request. Please keep in mind that data retention may require paid professional services. After cancelation, our default action is to terminate the account, which will result in the deletion of any historical information and data which, once deleted, cannot be retrieved.
